There’s Something About the Hour Before Dusk

When the blue sky fades into cherry blossom pink and the cotton candy clouds leave a faint trace behind.

There’s a moment of pause.

A surrender of every thought.

A letting go of the weight I’ve been carrying from midday.

A freedom in looking up and looking in.

Inhaling the crisp evening air brings forth a mix of clarity, perspective, and hints of nostalgia.

The sun says goodbye while sending me a tapestry of colors — coral, peach, and dreamy orange draping the horizon.

Wonder is beauty is solace is this moment.

I keep walking.

There’s something about the hour before dusk.
